compassionate care

Our licensed clinicians offer specialized mental health therapy for victims of all types of maltreatment: sexual, physical or emotional abuse, neglect, witness to domestic violence or homicide, or bullying.  The abuse does not require substantiation for treatment.  Often parents contact us because they suspect their child has experienced abuse.  Our therapists can help the child work through the trauma, giving them tools to start the healing process and confidence to eventually make a disclosure regarding the maltreatment.

Treatment plans are unique to each child, depending upon the extent of the traumatization and the resiliency of the victim during the recovery process.  Treatment may include trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), play therapy, art therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), family therapy, canine therapy and other modalities.  Our clinicians work with non-offending caregivers and family members to counsel and educate them about the child’s trauma, healing process and appropriate expectations for progress.

Counseling services are provided free of charge for child victims residing in the Purchase Area and adjoining counties.
